In this module we will watch and talk about some of the finest works of art in the history of cinema and will focus on trying to find out what makes them true masterpieces. Classes will be held mainly in English and students will be expected to introduce or sum up certain aspects of the film for the rest of the class as well as attending presentations of fellow students. The films will be chosen from a list elaborated by the teacher and to some extent by the students themselves and, insofar as possible, will include genres, themes and film-makers that might appeal to young people.
